Additionally, this is an effort to provide public knowledge and resources to the broader community in the city of Springfield. This document will strictly provide this information in a non-partisan manner. Any information in this document is subject to change.

      CITY COUNCIL MEETINGS

      The public may attend the meeting or view the meeting at https://cityview.springfieldmo.gov/livestream/. Speakers must sign up with the City Clerk no later than 5 p.m. the Friday before the meeting to speak to an issue not listed on the agenda. Citizens wishing to submit comments to City Council may do so using the citizen comments form.

      • Every other Monday, 6:30 p.m. City Council meets in the City Council and Planning & Zoning Commission Meeting Facility, located in the Springfield Regional Police & Fire Training Center, 2620 W. Battlefield. There is typically only one regular meeting in December
      • Council Lunch Workshops are held on Tuesdays at noon in the Denny Whayne Conference Room, 4th floor, Busch Municipal Building, 840 N. Boonville Ave.

      COUNCIL COMMITTEES

      The council committees are council members focused on a specific area. They review proposals, hear public input, and discuss details before items go to the full city council. Committees make recommendations rather than final decisions.

      Springfield City Council meeting agendas are posted to the internet on the Wednesday prior to the council meeting. In addition to the agenda, this page contains PDF files of each council bill and a draft copy of the previous meeting’s minutes.
